From the equality of rights springs identity of our highest interests; you cannot subvert your neighbor's rights without striking a dangerous blow at your own. Carl Schurz

I spit on your grave

We've become accustomed to the Conservatives plumbing new depths of depravity, yet on occasion they manage to shock.

Industry Minister James Moore in performing his duty to the oil sector, promoting pipelines through B.C. said “The people of Lac Mégantic wished they had pipelines instead of rail,”

They will stoop to any low they feel the need to in order to promote their agenda. The blood is barely dry on their hands yet they exploit the devastation in  Lac Mégantic, caused in no small part by their deregulation agenda and indifference to the safety of those they are charged to represent.

Not to mention that as Greenpeace Canada spokesperson Keith Stewart commented   If Moore is concerned about rail safety his government “could act on that tomorrow.”

But they won't, for no other reason than acting on rail safety in any way could serve to slow the transportation of their precious fools gold and likely cause the cost of said transportation to rise.

Instead they will continue to exploit the deaths and trauma associated with the  Lac Mégantic disaster and cross their fingers in the hope no other community gets incinerated before the next election.
